A former associate of slain investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, Daniel Owusu Koranteng, has been charged with murder in connection with Suale’s 2019 assassination.
Koranteng, who previously worked with Tiger Eye PI, is accused of causing Suale’s death through unlawful harm. According to case details, he was allegedly near Suale’s residence in Madina before and at the time of the shooting. Reports indicate that he left for his home in Amasaman around 11 p.m. on the night of the incident.
Authorities claim that Koranteng evaded police invitations and fled to the United Kingdom in 2019. However, following sustained police surveillance, he was arrested upon his return to Ghana on March 15, 2025.
Investigators suggest that Suale had previously accused Koranteng of selling his pictures to Kennedy Agyapong, a claim Koranteng has denied.
On March 19, 2025, he was arraigned before the Madina District Court and remanded into custody. The case has been adjourned to April 1, 2025.
