A fire broke out at The Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra, on the evening of October 26, around 5 p.m., causing damage primarily to the restaurant’s kitchen. Thanks to a swift response by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the blaze was contained, preventing extensive damage to other parts of the establishment.
Upon arrival, GNFS officers quickly brought the fire under control. The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) also arrived on the scene to disconnect power, minimizing the risk of reignition and ensuring responders’ safety.
Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey commended the coordinated efforts between GNFS and ECG in an update on the Fire Service’s official Facebook page, highlighting their success in securing the premises.
