A father of three is appealing for urgent financial support after his wife delivered quadruplets at the Twifo Atti-Mokwa District Government Hospital.
Mr. Emmanuel Quansah says the unexpected birth has placed enormous financial strain on his family, as mounting hospital bills continue to rise while the babies receive specialised care.
According to the family, earlier medical scans had indicated that Mrs. Naomi Quansah was expecting triplets. However, the arrival of a fourth baby came as a surprise, compounding the emotional and financial pressure on the household.
The newborns are currently being kept in incubators, while their mother is recovering from a caesarean section. Medical costs have continued to accumulate as both the infants and their mother remain under close observation.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Quansah said the family is already raising three children and is struggling to cope with the added responsibility.
The couple has therefore appealed to government, non-governmental organisations, philanthropists, and kind-hearted individuals to support them in settling their hospital bills and providing for the six children.
They say any assistance will go a long way in helping the family navigate the challenging period ahead.
