John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will file his nomination today, Monday, September 9, 2024, to contest in the upcoming presidential elections.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the Mahama campaign, highlighted the significance of this event, noting the campaign’s focus on economic recovery and inclusivity.
“This is a momentous occasion for the NDC as we gear up to build the Ghana we want together,” she stated, emphasizing the campaign’s pillars of jobs, accountability, and development.
In addition to filing his nomination, Mahama will embark on a four-day tour of the Bono Region as part of the #Mahama4Change2024 tour, where he plans to visit all 12 constituencies and engage with various community leaders.
He will also host a youth forum at Sunyani Technical University, focusing on revitalizing the economy and creating job opportunities for the youth through innovative policies.
