Eight foreign nationals have been arrested and detained at the Legon Police Station following a joint task force operation led by the Ayawaso West Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Michael Mensah.

The suspects were picked up at an illegal construction site reportedly lacking the necessary legal permits and dangerously situated close to a major roadside.

According to the Assembly, the developers had ignored multiple warnings to stop the project, prompting authorities to take enforcement action. The operation forms part of efforts to ensure public safety and compliance with building regulations within the municipality.
