The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has unveiled plans to distribute over 1.4 million tablets to students of Wesley Girls Senior High School as part of the government’s free Senior High School (SHS) policy.
This initiative aims to enhance the quality of teaching and learning within the school. Speaking at the Wesley Girls’ Senior High School’s speech and prize-giving day, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum revealed that the distribution of tablets would be completed within the next two months.
“I am pleased to announce that within the next two months, every student in this school will receive a tablet computer. We are establishing a learning management system, and all teachers will undergo training. This will enable you to complete your homework and participate in class activities online,” he stated.
Furthermore, Dr. Adutwum emphasized the importance of integrating technology into the learning environment, highlighting plans to enhance the school’s technological infrastructure with additional smart boards for a comprehensive, technology-driven educational experience.
