Ecobank Ghana PLC has donated 100 laptops to support the University of Ghana’s ‘One Student, One Laptop’ initiative.
This additional contribution, spearheaded by Ecobank’s new Managing Director, Mrs. Abena Osei-Poku, builds upon last year’s donation, furthering the university’s goal of providing essential digital tools to brilliant but needy students.
Vice-Chancellor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, who has championed the digitalization project since assuming office in 2021, expressed her gratitude for the continued support from Ecobank.
The donation marks a significant step forward in bridging the digital divide among students, empowering them with the resources needed for academic success.
The ‘One Student, One Laptop’ initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to enhance digital literacy and access to technology among its student body.
The laptops will serve as invaluable tools for students, enabling them to engage in online learning, research, and other academic activities.
