Ebi Bright Wins Tema Central Parliamentary Seat in Tight Race

Ebi Bright of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has emerged victorious in the hotly contested Tema Central Parliamentary election.

Bright secured 18,539 votes, narrowly edging out Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who garnered 18,421 votes. The slim margin highlights the intense competition in this critical constituency.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Bright and the NDC, as they managed to reclaim the seat from the NPP. It also reflects the broader wave of success that propelled the NDC in the 2024 elections.

The NDC’s strong performance extended to the presidential election, with John Dramani Mahama declared President-elect after receiving 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the valid votes cast. His closest competitor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP, secured 4,657,304 votes, or 41.61%.
