Ghanaian DJ Lord OTB achieved a remarkable milestone on Saturday by securing the highly esteemed ‘DJ of the Year’ award at the 2023 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards. Known offstage as Lord Barnes, DJ Lord OTB created history by becoming the first to dethrone the five-time winner, DJ Vyrusky.

Despite facing stiff competition from industry heavyweights like DJ Nyce, DJ Mac Tonto, DJ Sly, and DJ Faculty, DJ Lord OTB emerged as the standout victor in the fiercely contested category.

In addition to claiming the top ‘DJ of the Year’ honor, DJ Lord OTB also scooped up the ‘Mixtape of the Year’ and ‘Best Southern Zone DJ’ awards, further solidifying his dedication, creativity, and years of hard work within the DJing scene.

The awards ceremony, held at the Grand Arena on November 25, was a night filled with electrifying performances from renowned musicians such as Shatta Wale, Dope Nation, Abiana, Keche, and Zigi, making it an unforgettable celebration of music.

DJ Lord OTB, with a seven-year career span, commenced as the official DJ of the Live Breakfast Club on Live 91.9fm, establishing a solid presence in Ghana’s nightlife scene. Notably, he has been associated with vibrant establishments like Apokalypse and Oliver Twist, fulfilling his role in the country’s nightlife scene.

Moreover, DJ Lord OTB’s collaboration with various artists, including Feli Nuna, Magnom, Darko Vibes, Lord Paper, and Frank P, has further enhanced his reputation within the music industry.
