Comedian and actor Funny Face, whose real name is Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, has been remanded into police custody by the Ofaakor Circuit Court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region following a tragic accident in Kasoa.
The incident occurred on Sunday, March 24, when Funny Face’s car collided with a mother and her two children as well as a motor rider at Kakraba in Kasoa. The comedian was subsequently arrested and charged with drunk driving and careless driving.
On Tuesday, March 26, Funny Face appeared before the court, where he was remanded for two weeks pending the next court appearance.
Sadly, one of the victims remains in a coma, while the other three are receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma Centre. Isaac Asare, the brother of one of the victims, expressed frustration over the lack of bed availability at Ridge Hospital and the Police Hospital, leading to his brother being transferred to the community hospital in Kakraba. They are hoping for divine intervention to enable a transfer to a larger medical facility.
