CID Uncovers Ritual Sacrifice Site In Central Tongu; Bodies Of Five, Including A Child, Exhumed

Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have uncovered a suspected ritual sacrifice site at Gblorkope, a community in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region.

The grim discovery follows a breakthrough in the investigation into the disappearance of 28-year-old Nelson Anyinaa. Three suspects, Noah Gblor, John Gblor and Yohannes Gblor, who had been in custody since last year, led investigators to a secluded burial site believed to be used for ritual purposes.

Authorities exhumed the remains of Anyinaa, along with four additional bodies including that of a child buried in the same area. The remains have been taken into custody for forensic examination and identification.

The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue. The site is believed to have been used for human sacrifices, raising serious concerns  within the community and among law enforcement agencies.
