Cheddar Donates GH¢50,000 to Support Kantamanto Fire Victims

Business magnate and presidential aspirant Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as “Cheddar,” has extended a helping hand to traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at the Kantamanto Market in Accra.

On Friday, January 3, 2025, Bediako visited the site of the disaster, where he witnessed the extent of the destruction caused by the fire. In a gesture of solidarity, he donated GH¢50,000 as an initial contribution to support the affected traders.

Addressing the press at the scene, Bediako expressed his commitment to helping the victims rebuild their lives and restore the market. “What I have started is to raise funds for them. I came here with GH¢50,000 as a token, and we will work together to rebuild the market,” he stated.

Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, pledged to spearhead broader fundraising efforts aimed at reconstructing the market and providing relief to the traders who lost their goods and livelihoods in the blaze.
