The UEFA Champions League group stage matches ended last night.

13 times Champions League winners, Real Madrid managed to poll a surprise 2-0 win over Mönchengladbach to qualify.

Meanwhile, 3 times Champions League winners, Manchester United were kicked out after losing 3-2 to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.

All the English contenders in this year’s Champions League qualified for the round-off 16 except Manchester United.

The blue color represents the clubs which made it to the last 16, while the red color indicates the clubs which will join the Europa League.

In the rules of the Champions League, the first placed teams will be seeded, while second placed teams will be unseeded.

It means that the second placed teams (1st Leg) will play at home first against the first placed teams (2nd Leg).

On Monday, December 14, the Champions League draw will be held at UEFA headquarters.

The Round of 16 first leg fixtures are set to be played across February 16 and 17 with the second legs penned in for March 9 and 10.
