C.K Akonnor Ready To Hand K.P Boateng Another Black Stars Chance

Head coach of the Black Stars, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has revealed that he will hand prodigal son K.P Boateng another chance at the national team if he is performing well at club level.

The Besiktas star admitted in an interview with junior brother Jerome Boateng on Instagram Live that he would love to have another shot at the Black Stars after his unpleasant ending with the team in Brazil 2014.

“With the national team, I didn’t like the way it ended because they gave me so much. But you never know, maybe I can go back and play one more time again,” said Boateng.

Coach C.K Akonnor in an interview with Joy FM disclosed he would invite the former AC Milan star if he feels he is right for the team considering his performances at club level.

“If Kevin-Prince Boateng is available, why not? If he is doing well and actively playing, why not? I need to talk to the GFA about it [to sort out the suspension]. But he is welcome,” said Akonnor.
