Burniton music group has finally reacted to allegations narrowed by social media users to their CEO Stonebwoy in a press release.
Kelvynboy was invited to the opening of an electrical shop in Ashiaman on Monday June, 22. As the event was ongoing, a mob which is reported to be led by Stonebwoy’s bodyguard attacked Kelvynboy and some other people who were present at the event. They reportedly destroyed some items in the shop.
Most Social media made series of tweets accusing Stonebwoy of deploying his bodyguard to come distort the events with the claim that Ashiaman is Stonebwoy’s territory. Kelvynboy also made series of tweets accusing his former boss for masterminding the scuffle.
The Burniton music group has however released statement refuting claims that their CEO masterminded the distortion of the event in addition to all claims made by the mob and the public.
A section of the statement read;
‘For the avoidance of doubt we state emphatically that we are in no way associated with the alleged scuffle. Further, none of the individuals who have been alleged to have been involved in the alleged actions have been and/or are in, the employ of Stonebwoy.’
The statement also stipulated that the main objectives of the organisation are ‘focused on shaping Ghana’s sonic landscape through Anloga Junction, Stonebwoy’s recently released album which is receiving critical acclaim and global recognition. To suggest that we will divert our efforts to promote Ghana music to devote time and/or energy to an artiste who was voluntarily released from our organisation can only be the product of an exaggerated sense of self importance.’
The statement was concluded admonishing the public not to pay attention to the negative claims over the issue, adding that the organisation will continue to be law abiding and continue to entertain Ghana through their music.
