Burnaboy Becomes The First Nigerian To Set This Music Record In The Uk (Full Jist)

Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy that his Grammy-nominated album, ‘African Giant’ has certified silver in the UK.

This feat makes Burna Boy the first Nigerian artist with a certified album in the UK. When an album is given the Silver certification in the UK it means the album has sold an album-equivalent of 60,000 copies.

This came after news came in the double package after it was also announced that the track ‘Own It’ by Stormzy which also featured  Burna Boy and Ed Sheeran has gone two-time platinum for selling 600,000 copies. seems everything Burna boy touches turns to gold because it was also announced that another track titled ‘Be Honest,’ by British singer, Jorja Smith featuring Grammy nominee, Burna Boy had also been certified platinum in France.

Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy  had earlier this month accepted a gold plaque for his 2018 single, ‘On The Low.’ The gold plaque is for selling 100,000 (or more) copies of that single. All this success is coming after he released his ” African Giant” Album and it has gained international recognition and success.
