Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s steadfast support for Ghana’s newly inaugurated President, John Dramani Mahama, during the latter’s swearing-in ceremony held on January 7, 2025, in Accra.
In a heartfelt address, Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s solidarity with Ghana and the enduring bond between the two nations.
“My dear brother, I am here to walk with you,” Tinubu said. “You know you can count on my support at any given time you call on me. We are your brothers and sisters. We shall always be there for you.”
The Nigerian leader extended his best wishes to Mahama, expressing hope for a successful administration that would bring progress to Ghana and the wider region.
“May your administration be a profound success and progress for you, Ghanaians, and the entire region,” Tinubu remarked.
He also underscored the importance of collaboration between Ghana and Nigeria, highlighting the potential for mutual growth and shared prosperity through strengthened bilateral relations.
“I am confident that the new government under the leadership of President John Mahama will work with Nigeria to strengthen this powerful bond, leading to greater shared progress and prosperity for the people of our two nations,” he added.
