Marco Reus has not been on the pitch for four months now. This is because, according to one report, his injury is more serious than is known to the public.
“For Reus, the season could be over,” writes the ‘kicker’ in today’s issue. According to the specialist journal, the captain of Borussia Dortmund is suffering from a tendon tear in the adductor area, so far BVB has not publicly specified the injury.
Reus has been missing since February 4, when he had to go down injured at the Cup Cup in Bremen (2: 3). It was not foreseeable at the time that the 31-year-old would still not be back on the pitch four months later. Reus’ comeback plans should now focus on the coming season.
In the current season, he has scored twelve goals and seven assists in 26 competitive games. Reus and Dortmund are likely to miss the championship again.
