Biography of Mac Jerry

Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman is an Astute Broadcast Journalist and the host of Neat FM’s flagship political show programme “The Torch Light”.

As an ambitious Broadcaster with excellent communication skills, Mac started radio life from kumasi based Kapital radio as a librarian and further had an appointment as a Political Show Host and Programme Manager at Konongo based Virgin City Radio from 2004 to 2009.

He further moved on to Nkawkaw based Life FM from 2009 to 2016 as Programme Manager and Political Show Host

Mac holds a SSCE certificate from Juaben Secondary School, Professional Certificate in Journalism from Medianet school of Journalism in Kumasi, Diploma in Journalism from Institute of Business Management and Journalism also in Kumasi, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from RHODES UNIVERSITY in South Africa and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Human Resource from GIMPA and has had series of Specialized training in Agricultural reporting by USAID.

He was nominated twice in RTP Awards as the Personality of the year in Eastern Region in the years 2013 and 2016 respectively. He also won two Foklex media awards, first in Eastern Region as Best Morning Show host in 2016 and secondly in Greater Accra Region as best political talk show host-Akan category in 2019.

He was Media Relations Manager of Kwahu Tourism Initiative from 2012 to 2015 and also Programme Coordinator of Okwahuman Youth Association from 2012 to 2016. He was voted as the Vice president of Young Adult Fellowship in Kwahu Presbytery and also appointed as the Eastern Regional coordinator for Ghana independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA)

Mac is married with two daughters, and hails from Juaben in the Ashanti Region.
