Bedridden NPP MP Carried To Parliament In Ambulance To Vote On E-Levy; Video Goes Viral

Bedridden Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and MP for Ahanta West, Ebenezer Kojo, reportedly brought to Parliament in ambulance to help the Majority pass the E-Levy.

MP for Ahanta West who also doubles as Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ebenezer Kojo Kum is said to be bedridden and was even reported dead few weeks ago, though the reports turned out to be false.

The latest TV3 reports suggests that the lawmaker has been forced to make an appearance in Parliament since his absence will not afford the majority the needed numbers to get the e-levy passed.

The e-levy bill has generated controversy in Parliament since late last year, with the NPP failing to get the bill passed in about three attempts.

With the house almost equal in numbers on both sides, passage of the bill has become difficult since NPP MP for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo has refused to resume parliamentary duty since the beginning of the year and is also allegedly holding her party to ransom.
