 Bawumia Will Revive Ghana’s Economy If Elected – Former President Kufuor

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ability to transform Ghana’s economy if elected in the upcoming December polls.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday, November 17, 2024, Mr. Kufuor praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate for his exceptional skills in economic management. He highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s significant contributions during his tenure as part of the Bank of Ghana team, led by then-Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, which played a pivotal role in stabilizing the local currency.

The former President emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership could bring substantial progress to Ghana’s economy, particularly in the face of current global challenges.

“Given the current global circumstances, I firmly believe that Ghana’s economy will experience significant improvement if Bawumia is elected as President. With divine guidance, he is capable of delivering on this promise, and I encourage you to support his candidacy,” Mr. Kufuor stated.

He reiterated his trust in Dr. Bawumia’s economic acumen and urged Ghanaians to give him their decisive backing at the polls.

Dr. Bawumia, who has served as Vice President since 2017, has been a prominent figure in Ghana’s economic policy, particularly in areas such as digital transformation and financial inclusion.
