Bawumia Unveils Campaign Team Ahead of December General Elections

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially announced the campaign team for its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2024 presidential elections. The unveiling took place after the NPP’s National Executive Committee meeting on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Leading the campaign team is Dr. Bawumia himself, who will serve as the Campaign Chairman for the overall campaign coordinating committee. Renowned politician Dan Botwe has been named the Strategist for the campaign, bringing his wealth of experience to the team.

Dr. Gideon Boako has been appointed as the spokesperson for the party’s 2024 campaign, tasked with articulating the party’s message to the public. Additionally, Dennis Edward Aboagye will serve as the Director of Communications, overseeing the dissemination of information from the campaign team.

The National Campaign Coordinating Committee (NCCC) will oversee the work of all other committees and will be chaired by Dr. Bawumia, assisted by the Vice Presidential Candidate, the National Chairman, General Secretary, and Regional Chairpersons.

Other notable appointments include Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, and current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who will serve on the Campaign Advisory Committee.

The campaign team comprises various committees, including Campaign Operations, Campaign Management, Electoral Affairs, Senior Campaign Aides, Campaign Coordinators, Campaign Communications Directorate, Research Directorate, Finance and Fund-Raising, Legal Directorate, and Diplomatic Liaison.
