Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), officially submitted his presidential nomination form for the upcoming December 7, 2024 election on Monday morning, marking a significant moment in the election process.
Accompanied by his wife, Samira Bawumia, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and key NPP leaders including National Chairman Stephen Ntim and General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, Dr. Bawumia became the first aspirant to personally deliver his form to the Electoral Commission.

Electoral Commission Chairperson, Mrs. Jean Mensa, acknowledged the historic nature of the occasion, as it was the first time a sitting vice president had personally submitted his form.
Dr. Bawumia expressed his commitment to a peaceful election and urged Ghanaians to continue supporting the Commission and praying for the success of the NPP in the upcoming elections.
