Bagbin Elected President of African Anti-Corruption Network

Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has been elected President of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC) at the Network’s 9th Biennial General Meeting held in Accra.

In his acceptance remarks, Speaker Bagbin expressed humility and pledged his commitment to promoting integrity in public service and advancing Africa’s fight against corruption.

He extended gratitude to the outgoing President and Board Members for their dedication and leadership, noting that their efforts had established a strong foundation for the Network’s continued progress.

“The Network remains grateful for your commitment, collective wisdom, and lasting contribution,” Bagbin stated, assuring members of his readiness to work collaboratively to strengthen APNAC’s vision and mission.

The newly elected President also highlighted the importance of unity and partnership in achieving the Network’s objectives, emphasizing that collaboration among members is key to enhancing parliamentary oversight, promoting accountability, and fostering a culture of integrity across the continent.
