The Parliamentary candidate for the Yapei Kusawgu constituency in the Savannah Region, Abu Kamara of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) has been reported dead.
According to the Mohammed Issah,the Savannah Regional NPP Director of Communications, the car he was driving got into a clash with an articulator and died on the spot together with an aide, Majeed Kotochi a Young Chief and Adam Abu, another occupant of the car.

The accident which happened at the Datoyili police barrier on the outskirts of Tamale,has led to the immediate suspension of all campaign activities in the region,ordered by the the party office of Savannah region.
“These directives are in line with the party’s respect and condolence to the families of our deceased heroes; Hon. Abu Kamara, Mr Kotochi Majeed and Mr Adam Abu,”
He concluded that “we mourn with the families in these trying times. May the Good Lord grant them Jannat-al Firdaus. Amen,” said in a statement by the communication director of the NPP in the region,to the late Parliamentary candidate.
