The tragic incident on Sunday, March 29, resulted in three confirmed deaths, while 20 others were rescued following a night-long rescue operation.
The NDC Chairman also commended the swift response of first responders, highlighting the dedication of the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, and volunteers who assisted at the scene.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to our first responders, the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Police Service, and the brave volunteers on the ground who have worked tirelessly through the night. May God grant us strength and comfort as we navigate this tragedy together,” he said.
Authorities have yet to release full details on casualties or the cause of the collapse, but investigations are expected to commence once rescue and debris clearance operations conclude.
