Two students of Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School in Bantama, Ashanti Region, have been left seriously injured after a shocking on-campus shooting incident on April 5, 2025.

According to school sources, the incident happened during break time when Bernard Amoabeng, a second-year student, brought a firearm to school. Reports suggest that an argument broke out among the students about whether the gun was functional. In an attempt to prove it was, Amoabeng allegedly pulled the trigger, unintentionally shooting two students.

One of the victims, identified as Penamang, sustained a critical gunshot wound to the forehead. She was first taken to Kwadaso Hospital but was later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the severity of her condition.
