Asante Kotoko’s Emmanuel Dasoberi Confident of Winning Ghana Premier League Despite Challenges

In a recent statement, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, a member of Asante Kotoko’s interim management committee, expressed unwavering optimism about the team’s prospects of clinching the Ghana Premier League title, despite a challenging start to the season.

Dasoberi acknowledged that Asante Kotoko is currently in a rebuilding phase, and the team’s manager is fully aware of the tasks that lie ahead. He emphasized that encountering obstacles is to be expected during this stage of the club’s development.

“Our commitment to rebuilding remains unwavering. The coach has a specific role to fulfill, and we firmly believe that we are on the right path. This period may be turbulent, but it is merely a passing storm. Although the current situation is not what we had envisioned, setbacks are an integral part of the rebuilding process,” stated Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi.

Regarding the team’s performance, Dasoberi pointed out that at the same period last year, Medeama, the eventual league winners, found themselves in the 14th position, a position similar to where Asante Kotoko currently stands. Dasoberi acknowledged the pressure on the coach but emphasized that the focus remains on the rebuilding process, with the aim of achieving success.

Asante Kotoko currently occupies the 14th position with 10 points. Despite the tough start to the season, the team remains hopeful and fully committed to turning their fortunes around in the upcoming matches.
