Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo delivered a standout performance, earning the Man of the Match award as AFC Bournemouth secured a 2-0 victory over Everton in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup at Goodison Park.
Semenyo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, converting a powerful penalty that left Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford with no chance. The Black Stars attacker played the entire game, completing 17 of 27 passes, registering two shots on target, and contributing defensively with six clearances, two tackles, and an interception.
His impressive display helped Bournemouth advance to the next round, ending Everton’s strong form under newly appointed manager David Moyes.
Semenyo’s goal against Everton brings his FA Cup tally to three goal contributions (two goals, one assist) in three matches. Across all competitions this season, the 24-year-old has recorded nine goals and four assists in 26 appearances.
