In a captivating French Ligue 1 encounter, Ghanaian captain Andre Ayew displayed his prowess by scoring twice, rescuing a point for Le Havre in their 3-3 draw against Lorient on Sunday. The 34-year-old, returning to club football after a disappointing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign for Ghana, delivered a stellar performance.

Facing a 2-1 deficit when Ayew was subbed on in the 70th minute, he made an immediate impact. In the 85th minute, he scored a powerful header from a free kick, leveling the score for Le Havre. However, Lorient managed to take the lead once again in the 91st minute with a well-executed header by Mohamed Bamba.
