Famed American rapper and music producer Justin Riley, known by his stage name BeatKing, has passed away at the age of 39. His manager, Tasha Felder, confirmed the news on Instagram on August 15, 2024, but did not disclose the cause of his death.
In her post, Tasha expressed her sorrow, stating, “Today, Aug. 15, 2024, we have lost BeatKing. BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live. He loved his music, his daughters, and his fans. We will love him forever.”
BeatKing was a significant figure in Southern hip-hop, particularly in Houston’s club scene. He was celebrated for his high-energy music and collaborations with well-known artists like Ludacris, 2 Chainz, and Juicy J. His legacy in the music industry is marked by his contributions to the genre and his influence on club music.
He is survived by his two daughters and his partner, Talameshia.
