Mfantseman Member of Parliament (MP) for the New Patriotic Party , Ekow Quansah Hayford, has died at age 49.
Reports specifies that he was shot on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road around 1:am while returning from a campaign trip,9th October,2020.

In a statement confirmed by the NPP’s First Vice Constituency Chairman, Wofa Yaw, said they were returning from a campaign tour when armed robbers attacked them.
Mr Quansah who was born December 24, 1970 Makessim, happens to be the only child of his mother.
Winning the parliamentary seat of the 2016 general election in his conatituency, Mr hayford became well-known to his residents.

Mr Hayford worked with the Ghana Police service between 1993 to 1998 and served under the parliament’s judiciary, defence and interior committees
In his first term in office as an MP in the Mfantseman constituency,he embarked on a massive developmental projects which earned him a great support and love of his residents in the constituency.

Mr. Ekow was very dedicated and selfless to his job, and served his constituents with the heart of humility,humbleness and humanity.
His constituents are still finding it difficult to believe the news of his sudden death.
