Alexander Djiku Opts Out of Black Stars Squad for Friendlies Against Nigeria and Uganda

Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku has requested to be excused from the Black Stars squad for the upcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda. The Fenerbahçe player has opted to stay with his club during the international break and will not join the team in camp in Morocco.

In addition to Djiku, Ghana will also be without the services of several other key players for the friendlies. West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, Athletic Club’s Iñaki Williams, and Arsenal’s Thomas Partey are all unavailable for selection.

The absence of these players will be a blow to the Black Stars, who are preparing for important matches against Nigeria and Uganda. Ghana will be hoping for a redemption after their poor performance at the just ended AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire
