More than 50,000 registered voters are expected to take part in what has become a hotly contested race between the country’s two major political parties. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is fielding Bernard Bediako Baidoo, while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is represented by Solomon Kwame Asumadu.

Both candidates have staged intensive campaigns over the past weeks, drawing support from top party officials and national executives who have made high-profile visits to the constituency.
