
Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist, , popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been released from Nsawam Prison after serving eight months of a revised jail term.
Nana Agradaa has reunited with her husband and family following her release. Her husband, Asiamah, confirmed her return home in a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, stating, “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
She is also expected to join members of her church later in the day for fellowship, marking her first public appearance since regaining her freedom.
The evangelist was initially sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment on July 3, 2025, after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement. Her legal team subsequently challenged the ruling, arguing that the sentence was excessive.
Upon review, the reduced the sentence to 12 calendar months, describing the original punishment as harsh.
Her release follows Ghana’s standard remission rules, having served two-thirds of the revised sentence.
The development has generated significant public interest, given Nana Agradaa’s controversial past and high-profile legal battle.
