Adwoa Safo Faces Defeat in NPP Primaries for Dome-Kwabenya Parliamentary Seat

In the NPP primaries for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo, the incumbent MP and Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, encountered a tough competition, securing 398 votes. However, Mike Oquaye Jnr emerged victorious with an impressive 1,194 votes on Saturday, January 27.

Despite Adwoa Safo’s campaign efforts, she faced a formidable challenge from Mike Oquaye Jnr, who secured a substantial lead in the race for the parliamentary seat. Sheila Oppong Sakyi, emphasizing her qualities of being “passionate,” “dependable,” and “hard-working,” secured 186 votes in the keenly contested battle.
