Former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has officially entered the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential race, picking up nomination forms ahead of the party’s January 2026 flagbearer election.
The Bosomtwe MP, known for advancing STEM education and expanding secondary school access, aims to lead the NPP into the 2028 general elections. His entry adds to a growing list of contenders seeking to succeed the current leadership.
Meanwhile, over 490 constituency youth organisers and their deputies have picked nomination forms on behalf of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. They endorsed him as the party’s best chance at winning in 2028, citing his leadership, track record, and vision for Ghana’s future.
Their support follows a strategic meeting held on July 29, 2025, involving youth representatives from across the country.
