Out of the 19 fishermen involved in the Ada boat disaster, 15 have been successfully rescued, as reported by Fred Duhoe of Citi News. Regrettably, one fisherman has been confirmed deceased, and three others remain unaccounted for.
The incident took place on Thursday morning when two separate boats, named Shalon and Barcelona, carrying a total of 19 fishermen, capsized due to a powerful tidal wave. This incident marks the sixth boat-related casualty in the estuary this year.
Currently, a search party is actively engaged in locating the four missing individuals. This tragic occurrence has deeply shocked and saddened the Ada community.
