The Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect, less than seven months after assuming office in January 2025.
The sudden move has sparked questions within public sector circles, with no official explanation provided. However, sources at the Jubilee House indicate that the reassignment forms part of a broader government reshuffle aimed at strengthening economic management priorities.
Reports suggest tensions arose between Mr. Gyamfi and the supervising Minister of Youth Development, George Opare Addo. The Minister reportedly advocated for the creation of a new deployment portal to fix loopholes, while Mr. Gyamfi argued that the existing system only required improvements rather than a complete overhaul.
Mr. Gyamfi’s reassignment leaves the NSA without a substantive head at a critical time, as preparations intensify for the next round of national service postings across the country.
