In a significant legal ruling today, an Accra court has concluded that Asamoah Gyan is indeed the biological father of his wife’s three children, following a prolonged three-year legal dispute.
As a part of the settlement, Asamoah Gyan has been ordered to provide a monthly financial support of GH¢25,000 for the well-being of the children. It is important to note that this financial commitment excludes specific expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and various other childcare-related costs.
In addition to the child support obligations, Gifty, Asamoah Gyan’s wife, will also be entitled to significant assets and properties as part of the settlement. These include ownership of Asamoah Gyan’s UK mansion, a four-bedroom residence located in Spintex, Accra, and possession of a BMW and an Infiniti automobile. Furthermore, Gifty will gain ownership of land designated for a fueling station in Prampram.
This court decision marks the resolution of a prolonged legal battle that has garnered significant attention. The outcome ensures the financial and property arrangements for the well-being of Asamoah Gyan’s children while recognizing Gifty’s entitlement to various assets.

In 2018, Ghanaian football star Asamoah Gyan became embroiled in a highly publicized divorce case that allegedly revealed some thorn-sheets in his marriage to Gifty. The turmoil began when Gyan, who had reportedly harbored doubts about the paternity of his children, requested for DNA tests to determine their true parentage. The tests eventually confirmed that Frederick Gyan, Raphael Gyan, and Ohemaa Gyan were indeed his biological children.
According to a marriage certificate released by hotfmonlinegh and obtained by Ghanaweb in November of 2018, Gifty, Gyan’s wife, had initially married another man, Eugene Odame Antwi Oware, through a traditional ceremony in 2002 and later in a church wedding. Reportedly, she failed to disclose this prior marriage to Asamoah Gyan when they got together in matrimony. This revelation according to reports shook the foundation of their relationship.
Reports allegedly surfaced, suggesting that Gifty might have been pregnant with her first child from her previous marriage when she allegedly left her husband in Italy to marry Asamoah Gyan. These reports allegedly contributed to Gyan’s decision to seek a DNA test to confirm the paternity of his children, despite his love for them. The possibility that they might not all be his biological offspring weighed on his mind.
