Aburi Girls’ Headmistress Passes Away While on Official Duty in Rome

The Aburi Girls Senior High School in the Eastern Region is mourning the sudden loss of its revered Headmistress, Mrs. Cynthia Anim, who tragically passed away while on an official trip to Rome, Italy. Mrs. Anim was attending an educational workshop alongside the Deputy Minister of Education, other senior high school heads, and selected students when the incident occurred.

Known for her dedication to advancing secondary education in Ghana, Mrs. Anim had been actively participating in an international workshop aimed at improving educational standards. Her unexpected passing has sent shockwaves through the school and the broader educational community.

In a statement, the Chairman of the school’s Board of Governors, Rev. E.A. Asiedu, expressed the profound grief felt by the students, staff, and parents, acknowledging Mrs. Anim’s tremendous impact on the school.

“With the sure hope of the resurrection, we regret to inform honourable members of the sad and distressing news of the passing of our Headmistress, Mrs. Cynthia Anim,” the statement read. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and the entire Aburi Girls Senior High School community.”

Rev. Asiedu further praised Mrs. Anim’s leadership, noting her passion and vision, which significantly contributed to the academic excellence of Aburi Girls SHS.
