Two suspected robbers are in critical condition after being shot by police during an attempted robbery at the residence of a Court of Appeal Judge in the Ashanti Region.
According to the Ashanti Regional Police Command, the suspects, reportedly armed with cutlasses and scissors, attempted to break into the judge’s vehicle on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. They were confronted by a police officer on guard duty at the premises.
Police say the officer discharged his weapon in response to the threat, injuring the two suspects.
The injured men are currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital under police guard.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
