I Pleaded With Fomena MP Not To Go Independent But He Turned On A Deaf Ear.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revealed he pleaded with Fomena MP Andrew Amoako Asiamah not to go independent but he turned on a deaf ear.

Speaking at a durbar of chiefs and residents in the Ashanti Region, the president urged his supporters in the constituency to vote for the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate instead of the incumbent MP.

The president said at the durbar that, the decision of  Mr. Amoako Asiamah’s decision to contest the seat as an independent candidate will limit the development growth of the constituency.

According to Nana Addo, he does not understand why the Fomena MP wants to be an independent candidate. He said “I called him [Mr. Andrew Amoako Asiamah] to  pleaded with him to put all differences aside till after the elections,”.

Also, the President opened a 450-bed boys’ dormitory block at the Fomena T.I. Ahmad.
