Sunyani Technical University Dismisses 3 Students Over Exam Malpractice

Sunyani Technical University has dismissed three students over examination malpractice during the second semester resit exams for the 2024/2025 academic year.

According to a statement from the Office of the Registrar, the decision followed investigations that confirmed violations of examination regulations.

One male student was found guilty of impersonation after arranging for another person to sit an exam on his behalf.

In separate cases, a female student and another male student were sanctioned for possessing and using unauthorized materials during the exams.

University management reaffirmed its strict stance against academic dishonesty, stating that examination malpractice in any form will not be tolerated and offenders will face severe consequences.

The institution also reminded students of their responsibility to uphold academic integrity at all times.

Management noted that the disciplinary action was necessary to protect the credibility and integrity of the university’s examination system.
