A storekeeper at Tatale Senior High School in the Northern Region has been accused of attempting to steal food items from the school’s store after being confronted by students.
The incident, which occurred in Tatale, has attracted widespread attention following a viral video showing the storekeeper allegedly holding foodstuffs while students shouted at him.
According to reports, some students had become suspicious that food supplies meant for the school were being taken away and therefore laid an ambush.
The storekeeper, together with another individual, was allegedly in the process of removing the items when the students confronted them. A source familiar with the matter said that when the students raised the alarm, the storekeeper fled the scene, leaving the other individual behind.
The case has since been reported to the Northern Regional Director of Education, who has ordered a full investigation into the incident.
Authorities at the school have confirmed that the matter is currently under investigation.
