UENR final-year student dies from suspected poisoning

A final-year Petroleum Engineering student at the has died from suspected poisoning.

The deceased, identified as , reportedly passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, while receiving treatment at the .

In an official statement signed by Deputy Registrar , the university confirmed that a medical report attributed the cause of death to organophosphate poisoning.

Management indicated that the student’s family has been informed, and the body has been deposited at the Sefwi Anwiaso Community Hospital mortuary.
