Swedru School of Business Apologises Over Viral Assault Video

Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) has issued an unqualified apology following a viral video showing an assault involving some of its students and a student from Obrachire Senior High School.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Management, Staff and Students of the school addressed the public over what it described as “the recent incident captured in a video circulating on social media,” which involved students of the institution and their counterparts from Obrachire Senior High School.

The school described the incident as deeply disturbing and expressed regret over the development.

Management emphasised that the behaviour displayed in the footage does not reflect the institution’s values, principles, and standards of discipline. According to the statement, the conduct is unacceptable and inconsistent with the school’s Code of Conduct as well as the regulations of the Ghana Education Service.

The institution further distanced itself from any form of violence, stressing its commitment to academic excellence, character formation, and responsible citizenship.
