The Upper West Regional Police Command engaged students and staff of Wa Senior High School on February 16, 2026, to promote security, discipline, and peaceful coexistence within the school community.

The visit, led by Regional Commander DCOP Francis Yiribaare, followed an incident on January 28, 2026, during the school’s SRC Week celebrations, where students were attacked by peers from another school. Seventeen suspects have since been arrested and are appearing in court.

Headmaster Alhaji Iddrisu Thirdman commended the swift police response and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to maintaining discipline and lawful conduct. The engagement strengthened the partnership between the Police and the school in ensuring a safe learning environment.
