The award recognises the best footballers in the world under 21. Yamal, 18, had a remarkable 2024/25 season, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists for Barcelona, earning him a Ballon d’Or nomination. It is his second consecutive Kopa Trophy win after beating PSG’s Desire Doue and Joao Neves to the prize.

Chelsea’s new signing Estevao finished fourth, followed by Kenan Yildiz, Dean Huijsen, Pau Cubarsi, Rodrigo Mora, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
