
The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested a man for allegedly issuing death threats against the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and two others in a viral video that has been widely circulated online.
The suspect, identified as Alhaji Abdul Wahab, was apprehended in Koforidua on Monday, September 15, 2025. Police say Wahab has since been cautioned and granted bail.
According to a statement signed by DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, the suspect is required to report to the Regional Police Headquarters in Kyebi to assist with ongoing investigations.
The police further assured the public of a fair and transparent inquiry, stressing their commitment to provide timely updates as the case progresses
